Sensei Seikichi Odo promoting me to 2nd Degree black belt in Okinawan Kenpo Karate Kobudo Early December 1990. This is in the Gym at Camp Foster on Okinawa. During the two week Tech-Pub Library school I went and practiced at Sensei Odo's dojo as well as at the Marine base.
Nishio Sensei teaching at Fukaya Dojo 1991. This was in a suburb/village west of Yokohama. Sensei taught there on Thursday nights until it was forced to close in the winter of 1993 due to road bridge construction.

All Japan Good Deeds "Zenkokai" award (for the promotion of Japanese sports), December 1996. There had only been 780 of these given to non-Japanese foreigners since 1955. That’s about 19 foreigners per year.

He started learning Iaido from his father when he was 13. The man on the left is a sword polishing master. Erica and I were both tested and promoted to 3rd Degree black belt.
45+ Aikido friends who attended my retirement ceremony in the hanger bay of the USS Independence. This includes friends from six different dojos both Nishio Style and Iwama Style: Yokohama Aikikai, Okamoto Dojo, Warabi Dojo, Misakiguchi Dojo, Tokutomi Dojo and Kurihama Aikikai. (A huge retirement compared to normal. )
